1. About Mema

Mema is an events service run by Auxo Digital (Pty) Ltd ("Auxo Digital", "we", "us"), a South African company. Hosts use it to create events, take registrations, sell tickets, send reminders and check guests in.

2. Who runs each event

Each event is run by the host named on its page, not by Auxo Digital, unless Auxo Digital is the host. The host is responsible for the event itself: what happens, where, when, and whether it goes ahead. Questions about an event go to its host.

3. Registering for an event

• You do not need an account to register. Give your real name and an email address you can read.
• Some events need the host's approval, have limited space or use a waitlist. Registering does not guarantee a place until you get a confirmation.
• Your ticket and QR code are personal. Do not share or resell them unless the host allows it.
• You can cancel your registration from your confirmation email.

4. Paid tickets

• For paid tickets Auxo Digital is the seller of record. We take payment through Paystack and pay the host after the event.
• Prices are in rand and include any fees shown at checkout.
• Refunds follow the refund policy shown on the event page. If the host cancels the event, you get a full refund of the ticket price.
• Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

5. Messages

We send messages about the events you register for. How and when is set out in the Messaging terms. WhatsApp messages and news about future events are only sent if you ticked the matching box.

6. Your information

The Mema privacy add-on and the Auxo Digital Privacy Notice explain what we collect and why. When you register, the host of that event receives your details and answers.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use Mema to:

• send spam or messages people did not agree to receive;
• harass, threaten or mislead anyone;
• promote anything illegal, hateful or dangerous;
• collect people's details without a lawful reason;
• upload content you do not have the right to use;
• get around rate limits, bot protection or security, or try to reach data that is not yours.

We may remove content, cancel registrations or suspend accounts that break these rules.

8. Photos and content

If you upload photos to an event, you confirm you may share them. You let the host and Auxo Digital show them on the event's photo wall and recap. The host can hide or delete any photo. You can ask us to remove yours.

9. The service

We work hard to keep Mema running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features. We will give hosts reasonable notice of changes that affect their events.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Auxo Digital is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for events that a host changes, cancels or runs badly. Our total liability to you for a paid ticket is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Please contact us first so we can try to sort things out. South African courts have jurisdiction.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date below shows the latest version. Using Mema after a change means you accept it.
